Anonymous asked: I know you said you take pride in not associating yourself with any particular religion. But I was wondering, how do you believe people and the world came into existence and what do you think happens to people when they pass on?

i really have no idea. i could imagine dying and seeing jesus in front of me being like, “whats wrong with you? i sent you a billion messages. i told everyone to tell you to believe in me! i mean, seriously, billboards and everything.” and i can just as easily see there being nothing, or more likely, something that none of us have thought of. the point is, i have no idea, and i take a lot pride in having no idea. people who are absolutely certain about things that are impossible to be certain about are in my opinion just plain and simple scared. i am more inspired by people who openly have doubt than people who have all the answers. to me, doubt is strength / being absolute is weak. its easy to be sure, its hard to ask questions. thats my biggest issue with religion in general. it strips people of living with the unanswerable questions which to me is one of the most important and beautiful parts of life.
